Chairlift – Bruises Lyrics 14 years ago
"But frozen things, they all unfreeze and now I taste like" This also hints that it was bound to happen. He knew this. She was somewhat surprised as most young girls are. Hence, again why she's "permanently black and blue"

This song is nothing to do with anything sexual. Get your head out of the gutter ;)

When she says she "tired to do handstands for you" she's saying I tried to do everything for you.
The bruises, grass stains, and holes in her "new" jeans are all representation of her falling hard for him. So much that she ended up getting hurt.

He "grabs frozen strawberries" as in he tries to fix it, but the damage has been done. She's already "permanently black and blue" this time. Now he's left with the "frozen strawberries" as in the things they had between each other. Kind of like when you go through a break up and you see something of theirs at your place.

It's summer love. Could be a fling, but nothing sexual. The upbeat tempo hints that they are young I think also.

"These empty halls held our disease" "before we caught it" - He's implying the relationship was already heading in this downward direction or bound to happen.
