I've always heard the lyric in the chorus as: Move across the dance floor Let me buy you a drink or two And you can be my star for weekends I'd do you like you're Hollywood. From my point of view, it sounds as if he's singing to someone in a bar and telling her about how he'll treat her. The song has a slight predatory tone to it, however, as if he's going to have sex with her to teach her a lesson. |
