I can completly relate to this song. Some of the lyrics are like she reading my mind. I agree alot of the song is about self-medicating yourself, to escape your own reality. This song means a lot to me. When I first heard it I actually stopped what I was doing and just stood there listening to it. Some parts of it speak to me. Like "And even though the moment passed me by I still can't turn away I saw the dreams you never thought you'd lose tossed along the way" For a while I gave up on myself so this spoke to me. At the time, I was also realizing (I was 20, 21) that I was no longer a child anymore, I was an adult, that time had passed. I also agree with exactly what Unknownsage said. |
