I believe that this is taken with a more spiritual approach. "How come you love me when I'm so ugly Guess I can only hope" meaning how can God/You love me when I am filled with sin and falling away from You/Him. With that being said, "I will continue to hope in You." "How come you save me when I'm so angry" when we're angry with God, He'll continually remind of us His love for us because He wants us. The chorus: Give me a second go, Don't let me go alone You saw me at the worst, You caught me falling first All I wanted to know, Give me a second go" God sees us at our worst and falling from Him and she's asking for another chance, which God always provides. Every day is an amazing day to start over and to have another chance. :) Plus, Lights is a Christian. So, it makes a lot sense, doesn't it? |

| Indianajohnson may have a very good point. Of course, not everyone will agree but get this, the lead singer, Marcus Mumford is a Christian. His father is in charge of the Vineyard Churches in the United Kingdom. This song and some, if not, the rest of their songs could be in any kind of relation to their faith. The other band members may not be Christian, but they certainly do have faith. Just sayin'. I know this band is likable and it can be a turn off if they ARE religious or not but that doesn't make any sense to put aside a n obviously well talented band just because of what they believe in. Either way, they're just incredible and they should be loved for that. | |
