Metallica – Sabbra Cadabra (Black Sabbath cover) Lyrics 12 years ago
In all the other part not resembling a love song they may be talking about god, actually: "destruction of the empty spaces is my only crime", "I am the world that hides, the universal secret of all time", "I found out what it means to be believed", the other two strophes even talk in a sort of patronizing way about death... What's funny though, or intriguing, is the mix of topics... that mix could also have different meanings.

Blind Guardian – Punishment Divine Lyrics 14 years ago
It's mainly about Nietzsche's mental collapse, and i don't believe it could be labeled as fully shallow, since they reflect some degree of knowledge and reading.
The angels sing "it's true, it's true we don't exist", this could be interpreted as one of Nietzsche's last ironies, the fact of hearing angels telling that themselves don't exist is actually a paradox :)
Nonetheless, there are some serious inaccuracies though. For instance, the will to power doesn't mean that the weak must die. The will to power is some sort of force of nature that drives all beings towards growing and selfempowerment, through a diversity of means, including the weak ones. According to N., the powerful need the weak in order for them to expand their own power beyond themselves, and the weak many times find purpose only through the will of their ruler. This also happens backwards. The weak may be ruling the strong, by making them feel guilty for their inner strenght, through deceit. This is why N. killed the judeochristian god, because it is the god of the lambs, transforming its followers into selfdeprecating, externally unharmful creatures filled with poisonous guilt. Weak and strong has nothing to do with the current hyerarchical status, it has to do with the origin of an idea, belief, tradition, etc; and also has to do with two concepts "greatness" and "baseness". This could be illustrated as charity being given by petty people, while the magnanimous gift themselves fully, because they actually can.
When the lyrics treat pride as a sin for Nietzsche, they are completely wrong. Throughout his works one can understand the idea of pride as a source of greatness, truly uninterested actions are possible only when pride, power and greatness overwhelm a person in a way that he has to gift someone, because he simply can do it.
Talking about laws of nature is also inaccurate, since Nietzsche refused the idea of nature having laws, he stated several times that men have laws, nature has only more or less regular behaviour or patterns. He sees imposing laws to nature as a futile pretension of taming nature on the part of petty human logic.
Talking about the selection of the strong is also a mistake, Nietzsche was completely against Darwin, considering him overly simplistic. Nietzsche stated that life has an inner force of change that precedes the environmental selection. He regarded Darwins position as reactive, not perceiving the true origin. Besides this, Nietzsche clearly states that what exists in the world is not evolution, but a continuous coexistence between the weak and the strong, failure and success, pain and joy, death and life, and so on.
What N. advocates its a return to the greek way of life found in the homeric times, prior to Socrates, and embracing glorification of life instead of a religion of ashes, shrouds, guilt and death. Embracing life joyfully in pleasure and pain. Dyonisios instead of the crucified.
