OK, this has been bugging me so i have to do it. But please stay with me folks and like Metallica said , don't be "to quick to criticize". This explanation also is relevant to this entire album. I have been on the road to enlightenment on a more direct level, this is the same road that Metallica had called his "bride" in the song, "Wherever I May Roam". When I say enlightenment, I am not referring to any religion. Here it goes, All that is was and will be Universe much to big to see Time and space never ending Disturbing thoughts, questions pending Interpretation: In all of our vastness and relation to the Universe, we know nothing about ourselves. Limitation of the human understanding To quick to criticize, obligation to survive we hunger to be alive Interpretation: There is more to us humans than we are told. If we are told the truth we will quickly shoot it down and call it crazy, as our beliefs that we have developed will defend themselves. Most of us are too busy worrying about the bills we have to pay, as our government and other powerful people have our minds in a mode of survival and they keep the fear of death alive. (Twisting, Turning, Through the never) All that is, ever Ever was Will be ever Twisting Turning Through the never Interpretation: We are eternal beings that is one with the universe as it continues through its never ending cycle. The twisting and turning may refer to the Sacred Geometry which is relevant to all of creation. example: sea shells, galaxies, and everything. In the dark, see past our eyes Pursuit of truth no matter where it lies Interpretation: As we are hidden from the truth we should not see with our eyes, we should see with our mind and always ask for truth. Interpretation: In order to see or understand our desired path of peace and excitement (heaven), we must search our history and without judgment and beliefs as curiosity can get the beat of us. i think the real meaning of this is meditation. how else can your body lie and you still roam? how else do you adapt to the unknown? how else can you be by yourself but not alone? and in doing that you could say that the earth is your throne. only knowledge will i save. to the game you stay a slave,(as our minds are in prison). and later on he mentions that " my ties are severed clean" hmmmm. CLEARLY THIS SONG IS ABOUT MEDITATION!!!! |
