| Kids in Glass Houses – Matters At All Lyrics | 14 years ago |

I wouldn't really say it was about having unreturned feelings for someone else, to me it sounds more like it was a past relationship which started a long time ago, and the singer is remembering the time in September they were together hence the line: "You're a throwback to forever" But the girl he loved still wants to forget and not remember that they were together at all and wants to "leave it all behind" and the singer wants to know if their relationship together mattered at all in her eyes anymore. And the line "Cause you'll always be the one who says goodnight, goodnight" can be seen as the way she ended the relationship and she will always be the one to cut things off in relationships. The singer suffers more in the relationship because she makes all the decisions: "Hanging limp between your fingers" But that's just my take on it... |

| You Me at Six – If You Run Lyrics | 14 years ago |

I always thought this song was about a girl who ruined her reputation in her town by treating the people she knew like crap, thinking that shes bigger than life and the singer sarcastically says in the song lyrics how she thinks shes so smart/cool: "No you, you're so smart, so smart you didn't call my bluff" And she also threatens to leave the town a lot to show them what they would be missing if she went "You had us all convinced you were something someone couldn't miss, but what did we miss?" Instead she ended up being hated by her town because of the way she acts but she still insists that shes 'cool' and above everyone so she 'runs her mouth' badmouthing everyone: "You run around running your mouth, about a small town who's booing you now and you're so cool you're so cool" |
