actually, it never says i'm begging you neon tiger, roar it actually says i'm begging you neon tiger, run it wouldn't rhyme otherwise and also, it just doesn't say roar good job though, serously this guy needs to change it from "So I gone" to "saigon" I'm glad you did re-write it. I meant the album "Battle Born" haha, not rising tide, does anyone else think that they're gonna go on tour coz this is their 4th studio album (sawdust isn't a studio album) and when they release a studio album they go on tour, right? they has a hot fuss tour, sams town tour and a day and age tour, so maybe they will have a Battle Born tour? also does anyone know why the album is called battle born? whats behind it? |

I think this song is about going through a hard time, like maybe getting fired from a good job or something? but its also about the main guy being stubborn (I can get by myself) He's saying deal me a crippling blow, like saying throw all that you got at me, I can take it, and I don't need anyone to help me. Ok, My interpretation was kinda jumbled, lemme start again Here in my house Time is sweet I hear the children playing in the street Out with the hot winds blowing in the breeze Ah-ah-ah here he is saying life is good, he enjoys how its going He's a real winner Probable to say Sleeping in, a lazy afternoon A danger to the doubters, they assume I'm a bit confused in this bit but what I can guess is his job just got given to a guy that is very lazy but everyone thinks he is a great guy (a real winner) and they think that he will make all the doubters think that he is great too I scrambled online and I know that I Will never be calm and well But I can get by in the meantime By myself I actually believe that the word is online in this bit and I can contibute that to my interpritation aswell. I think this part is him going onto the internet and trying to look up a new job, but this new job will never be as good as his old one but at least it will help him get by, he can survive on a smaller income. Deal me a crippling blow Steal me from under my clothes And this part is just his saying FINE! TAKE ME AWAY FROM MY JOB! TAKE AWAY MY LIFE NECESSITIES! And then the chorus is just saying don't help me, I'm fine and very very stubbourn. Not 100% sure but its an idea, someone can expand on it for me, thoughts people? ALso gotta say, the begining guitar riff on this song, is AMAZING! |

YES!! im the first to comment on this! I am so stoked about a new album by the Killers! I have a feeling this song is about revelation, and armageddon, "you can't escape the rising of the tide"<-- The end is going to come "You'll be running but there ain't nowhere to hide" <-- you can't hide from God "Well you took the stand, you licked your lips, and you lied" <-- you sinned "Well they plan your crucifixion as we speak" <-- you're going to go to hell "There's gonna be a mystery underneath those neon lights" <-- God is going to judge you (in an interviewy sorta way) "With everybody singing out Glory Hallelujah" <-- You're praising God to save yourself Well, thats all I got, thoughts people? Also, does anyone know when the release date of the album "The rising tide" is coming out? |
