| Mallory: The "red monkey junkie" part is referring to the Red Monkey line of jeans, a very expensive brand of jeans ($700+ for some) that is favored by rappers and real drug dealers a-like. So he's basically just saying he loves to wear red monkey jeans and that he probably has a lot of them. The "Mr. 17-5" is him saying his "number" (price for narcotics, in this case a kilogram of cocaine), which is $17,500. Many rappers, Pimp C of UGK for one, has called him out saying how he wasn't getting no $17,500 number in Atlanta; maybe in Texas but not in Atlanta where he was from. However, he was close friends with Demetrius "Big Meech" Flenory, leader of the Black Mafia Family, a drug trafficking organization, and in court testimony it was revealed that BMF sold kilos to their members for $17,500 (or cheaper sometimes) and re-sold them for $20,000 on average in the Atlanta area. It was also revealed that one member saw Jeezy receive multiple kilos one time. | |
