No, there's no way that he is saying there is a God. He is outwardly and blatantly saying that he is atheistic, and if you think there is a way around that then you are an idiot and you have the choice to not listen to the song. The meaning is very obvious, and has been explained, Benjamin Gibbard is denying the Church and all its teachings, most of which are fallacies against science. It has a deeper meaning, yes, but in no way does it implicate that he is wrong. |
