| Archers of Loaf – White Trash Heroes Lyrics | 13 years ago |
|
This song is incredible. I like the southern life/Nascar interpretation and on the surface I think that is what the song is about but I get a deeper vibe from this song like maybe it has a double or hidden meaning.. I get that feeling from "Frozen out of focus, the sunday crowd Started dreaming of television turned up too loud" and "Started sleeping with white trash heroes, TV's turned down." I think the symbolism of the volume of the TV and also the neon sky has a deeper meaning for some reason but it could also be nothing. The only way to know the true meaning of any song is to ask the artist. |

| Age of Electric – Untitled Lyrics | 13 years ago |
| This is my fav Age of Electric song. I have always loved Remote Control but I never knew any of their other songs until I heard Untitled on the radio and said aloud "Who the f*ck is this? They get it!" to my friend. I looked it up and was like wow this is Age of Electric! | |
| David Usher – Final Thoughts And The Last Day On Earth Lyrics | 13 years ago |
|
Atheism is not some hipster fad or a trendy disco dance it is a belief that there is no god, creator, or diety. Based on your interpretation of the song I assume you have confused atheism with agnosticism. To be afraid of something is to beleive it at least could exist. I interpret the song as the thoughts of someone who knows they are going to die but the only way to know the true meaning is to ask the artist. |

| Gin Blossoms – Idiot Summer Lyrics | 14 years ago |
|
This is my fav Gin Blossoms song along with Found Out About You. It reminds me of Wayne's World 2 during the scene they play it while Wayne and Garth are playing street hockey.. As for the actual meaning of the song I am stumped but I want to think it's a play on the term Indian Summer. |

| Pond – Spots Lyrics | 14 years ago |

| Hazel – She's Supersonic Lyrics | 14 years ago |
|
I don't know exactly what Pete says at "There's something odd ? space" but I hear the word coincidence in there.. I'm thinking "There's something odd coincidence in space though" |

| The Verve Pipe – Hero Lyrics | 14 years ago |
| This song always reminds me of Stone Cold Steve Austin because I first heard this song in a promo video for him. | |
| The Teardrop Explodes – Treason Lyrics | 14 years ago |
| Is it real or is it treason? | |
| In Flames – The Jester's Dance Lyrics | 14 years ago |
| This is my 2nd fav instrumental by In Flames after Whoracle. If I were a Jester this would be my theme. | |
| Pond – Mubby's Theme Lyrics | 14 years ago |
| I always picture an old black and white Walt Disney style cartoon character running over cartoon hills and humming his musical theme. The guitar after he says "Hums his musical theme It goes..." sounds a sweet musical theme. | |
| The Tea Party – Save Me Lyrics | 14 years ago |
| I think this song is about how stupid war is. The first three verses outline a man going to war and dying and his wife and family suffering from their loss. The last verse talks about ending the lies that make war possible and with a new sun rising in the east symbolising the start of a new day for peace. | |
| Breach of Trust – Sweat Lyrics | 14 years ago |
|
This is my favorite Breach of Trust song. I found the Dead Issue EP in a pawn shop and was excited because I love the song Family which I saw on Much Music and Sweat instantly became my fav BOT song. I think this song is about Aboriginal spirituality. The lines "I'll learn the lessons as they're sent my way. The pain is real but I will suffer for it so I pray" and "Sing a song of celebration to the beings of creation" reflect spiritualism. The theme of the song revolves around nature which is very prominent in Aboriginal spirituality. I would love to hear an Aboriginal interpretation of this song because they would have an understanding of the symbolism nature has in this song. |

| Hazel – Comet Lyrics | 14 years ago |
|
Hazel rocks they need more songs on here, thanks for posting this. I think you are really close on the lyrics. I have always heard "And everywhere the comets there" but the more I listen to it the more I question what Jody is saying. I also hear Pete say "And the comets that we see are the limit to everything" that sounds right on to me. I have always assumed A, E, C, F, A, E, C, F, A, E, C, F, A, E, C, F were the chords that he was playing but I am not a musician and I have no idea what the chords are. As for the meaning of the song I think Comet like most Hazel songs is pretty ambiguous. The comets seem to be symbolic of something, maybe a bad relationship. I get that vibe from.. "Must have been a perfect disaster Perfect And it seemed so effortless, remember? Like that time you told me, oh man you told me That the stars came down for just you and me" and "I can feel the, uh--the weight of your shoulders on mine With all the world and time and everything But I'll lay low 'til you say so" The only way to find out the meaning of any song is to ask the artist but I hope to see how others interpret this song. |
