Its a while ago now, but I'm sorry about your split up. I also agree with Bradleyb, its about a haunting. I think its because it reminds me of Wuthering Heights, my favourite book :) Interpretation is a great thing, its good to see what people think. |

Its kind of skirting around the theme of the song, but I think a lot of people have someone they need to keep away from. They have a very passionate and challenging relationship, but there obsession with each other is very detrimental. You know if you see them again something will happen, and you'll love it. That's my experience anyway. I'd love to see her again, but we will both end up hurting every time. |

I think it has already been said. Its self evident, he loves a girl that he doesn't believe he can have or doesn't deserve due to his perceived inadequacies. Its a beautiful song a draws from raw human emotion. |

According to many sources it only took 20 minutes to write, so I wonder if Geezer or one of the band took the opportunity to make a statement about their depression. The feeling in the lyrics give the impression that the 'individual' is suffering from a chronic depressive illness. They don't indicate any signs of socio / psychopathy because of the insight he has about the way he feels, he isn't delusional. It can be common in people like rock stars to only feel themselves when they are performing. The ensuing downer afterwards instills the depression because normal life doesn't provide the adrenaline rush that performing does, everything seems mundane and worthless. As I said earlier, i think one of the band members, probably Geezer, was venting feelings about depression. It's certainly written by someone who has experience of depression. |
