I thought I had the song all figured out until I read everyone's own interpretation. I'm stumped now! I took it as something significant happening like losing his virginity and still finding himself alone. That really didn't do it for him. But the meaning is always depends on the listener.

So much to think about this song! Just going to go with the obvious and say it's about kids being in too much of a rush to fall in love. I really don't think it's about a corpse. Or I need a little guidance to believe so. |

I took the song as if he rather do what he wants even if its catching something that you might be ashamed of. No one wants to be stuck up and "Holy" or "Frankly, Mr. Shankly"
