So I've been trying my best a layman Radiohead fan to decipher all the references. It makes me feel dumb to do because its much more obvious when you have the lyrics written down. Here's what I have so far: The first static break is obviously a reference to Fitter Happier The second static break is where it gets fun: Pakt Like Sardines in a Crushed Tin Box The National Anthem Airbag Dollars & Cents 225 I have to think references 2+2=5 Anyone Can Play Guitar ("Anyone can buy a car") Greenwood and O'Brien are band members Fifth static break: No Surprises while No Surprises plays in the background Sixth static break: Kid A Morning Bell I'd think that Tom Bell is named Tom for Thom York Blackstar Planet Telex I'm sure a bunch of stuff went over my head. |
