@[antiaverage:24667] Although it doesnt specifically say NITROglycerine - that is in fact what he is talking about. Guess its a Brit abbreviation or something. Here are some quotes from Gavin about this song: "It's nitroglycerine, as opposed to hand soap. I'm fascinated by an inanimate object that can cause so much destruction. It can sit there like a fat ward, and then it blows up..."- Gavin Rosedale "Glycerine is a form of explosive, and that's what the feeling of losing someone really special feels like inside."-Gavin Rossdale "I was trying to be involved with someone who (a) didn't want me to be involved with her and (b) couldn't be involved with me because her life was too busy and too full for me. It's about the magic of love and loss."- Gavin Rossdale So there you have it. |

Am I the only one that thinks that this part: "put a fire in my bones with the sweet taste of kerosene." Is about getting fired up because he just did some cocaine? If you have ever done coke you will know that 1) it fires you up, and 2) you will have a slight gasoline or kerosene taste as it melts and runs down the back of your throat. (it is made by breaking down coco leaves with gasoline or kerosene, btw). The first time I heard it that is what I thought, but hey, it could mean something else... I kinda think I'm right though. |
