This song is freaking awesome. "I'm not a star, somebody lied. I got a chopper in the car" - Rap artists of today are largely considered less "gangster" than when they made it big. Being a star means you've lost your edge, you're no longer street. Wayne is saying that he's not a star and that he's still street. "I got a chopper in the car" is referring to a gun. A "chopper" is a gun with a high rate of fire, usually full-auto. "Yeah, load up the choppers like it's December 31st" - Gonna light it up like New Years! "Roll up and cock it and hit them niggas where it hurts" - More evidence that it's a gun "cock it" Some more gun and drug references by both. Suck an awesome beat and hook, I love hearing this song on the radio. My wife always wants to change it, and I'm like, "Nah bitch, he's got a chopper in the car." ;) |
