Habanot Nechama – Flowers Lyrics 11 years ago
I look at this as a great little caricature of the main female stereotype, namely being obsessed with fertility.

It seems like it's about politics in general, and that the lyrics are alternately spoken by politicians and consumers of political theater.

Amy Winehouse – Tears Dry On Their Own Lyrics 14 years ago
The chord progression in the chorus from "He walks away" to "but I'm grown" shares quite a bit with Ain't No Mountain High Enough, but from "and it's ok...." on to the end of the chorus it's different. The chord progressions in the verses are definitely different. I would call it possibly a bit of borrowing, but not wholesale borrowing and not plagiarism.

Beck – Little One Lyrics 14 years ago
One possibly unintentional but still amazing aspect of this song that I discovered while figuring it out is that, despite being eerie, sad and hopeful all at once, it contains not one minor chord. In fact, just about every chord is major, with just a few dominant sevenths peppered throughout and some power chords at the end. To me, this is like painting a nighttime ocean storm using only bright colors and a few medium grays.

My other comment is that when the 2004 tsunami hit, this song immediately came to mind. It almost seemed written for it.
