They both know the relationship cannot last and they are incompatible, but for a short while it cures their loneliness- that's what this song's about. :] |

| The Feeling – Another Solider Lyrics

My interpretation is this- the verses are from the perspective of a soldier fighting in the war that has become disillusioned with his cause, and the chorus is from the perspective of the soldier's partner when they hear the news the solider has been killed. I believe the lines about blood refer to the partner perhaps encouraging the soldier to go to war and now regretting it, or perhaps a jibe at the Governments that are sending their armies to wars with immoral causes and therefore gaining the "blood on their hands" from the conflict. |

| The Feeling – Set My World On Fire Lyrics

Ahhh, this song is very sweet, even if it does sound like a Lion King number when it hits the chorus!
It's not too hard a song to decipher meaning-wise; the relationship between the singer and the person being sung to has its ups and downs but fundamentally the singer believes it will work out. |

| The Feeling – Leave Me Out Of It Lyrics

This song gives me the feeling that the woman's taunting him by saying just how good a relationship with her would be, and she doesn't want anyone else to have him, but when it comes down to it she doesn't particularly want him anyway because she's happy being single, or happy just keeping things very casual. The line "a crack in your heart that can't be undone" shows a very pessimistic view of love, potentially because the woman has had a bad experience in the past and therefore can't fully commit. |

| The Feeling – A Hundred Sinners (Come and Get It) Lyrics

It's just about people throwing a party! The image of 'Paul', whoever he is, being so drunk he stays on the drums all night is hilarious.
I adore this song- it's kinda like a feminism anthem, if you think about it! The women are partying just as hard as the men and don't care what people think. There's a theme of casual sex too, I think, which is the 'sinners' bit, but the theme is approached light-heartedly. |

| The Feeling – Mr Grin Lyrics

To me, this song is about a relationship that makes the singer feel physically sick and mentally ill, possibly due to it being a dysfunctional one.
I'm not sure what the reference to Mr Grin is, however. I know there's a character in the 'Alex Ryder' series of teen novels called Mr Grin but I doubt that's what The Feeling are referencing. |
