| Just checked it and yes you are right. Got a little carried away on the snake angle. Bit disappointed now. I'll probably still sing it to myself as snake to be honest, it wont do anyone any harm and it meant more to me that way. I actually thought the opening line of Lotus Flower was ' I will shit myself into your pocket' for a good month and I'm not even lying man. | |

Right I've been listening to this song over an over all weekend and I believe it to be all about the dangers of playing games on mobile devices. The song is hung around the central motif of the now long forgotten Nokia 6210 'default' game Snake. We have pawns and queens from online chess and a lot of laying in bed, the place where most mobile games are played. Basically the track depicts a mans path to mobile phone game dependancy. The song deals with themes of lost time and giving into playing games on your phone- are those birds on telephone wires? a metaphor for twitter? or even angry birds the most popular mobile game around. Think about it. |

| Atoms for Peace – Before Your Very Eyes... Lyrics | 12 years ago |

This is a reimagining of, or perhaps a direct companion song to, Solitaire by Neil Sedaka. Acting a sort of prelude to that song we join the central character before he has lost his love to 'his indifference'. The narrator shows the future implications of his actions to the younger man, forewarning him of what is in store if he carries on down this path playing 'Time's fickle card game' = Solitaire. Look out of the window What's passing you by? And before your very eyes... While life goes on around him everywhere He's playing solitaire. |

| Simon and Garfunkel – Slip Slidin' Away Lyrics | 14 years ago |
| This song reminds me of my ex wife. Her middle name was Delores and she cheated on me with both a Paul and a Simon. I wish i was joking. I won't let her rob me the joy this man's music gives me though. I put this song on when I work out in the morning and it inspires me to get buff for Christmas so I can find a new woman and rub her nose in it. I have a feeling this song is about our situation. | |
