I think he's totally conflicted, not just having lost a love and mourning it, but wanting it back emotioanally, and not wanting it back logically, hence the "I won't miss you baby" and then the "Lord I miss you child". I've never thought there was anything disco about this song, except perhaps the time period it came out in. I was a tween and I never would have classified this as disco. |
