"...if you discovered that I cared A little too much for friends, but not enough to share." I take these two lines as: - He liked her as a friend but is now finding himself caring a little too much "for friends" (he has mixed feelings). I love when he says "but not enough to share" because I can relate to this! I think that phrase means that he does not want to share his "friend" with anyone else. So essentially to me: he sees her as a friend BUT finds himself caring for her more than he should for a normal friend and he knows this because he doesn't want to share her with anyone else ("...not enough to share"). |
