for me, this song describes how i felt when i first started going out with my girlfriend.i was very distant with most people for a long time-'hiding out behind the leaves i was difficult to reach'- but she still took the time to get me to open up to her. i was also amazed that out of all the people in the world, she picked me-'just another pretty piece i was difficult to see'-.

i think emilie is saying in this song that nobody's perfect 'what if im a toothless leopard?what if im a sheepless sheperd?what if im an angel without wings to take me home?' but flaws are part of what makes us all human and we should be accepted and loved for who we are and not judged or disliked because of some minor imperfections. one of my fave ea songs that ive heard so far :) |

this song always makes me think of my girlfriend.she's one of the most amazing people in the world and she lights up my whole life even when im going through a rough time(like the way the moon lights up the night).she has a really low opinion of herself and wont believe me if i tell her how special she is.when the song talks about bringing a mirror to show the moon how beautiful it is makes me want to show my gf how she looks through my eyes. *beautiful song* |
