I've always heard the second to last line in the third verse as "and this is the way i resign" which i also think fits better with the upcoming line of "and I am no coward so I'll only die one time". I can't figure whether or not he says "Martyrs" and not "mortals", cause once again i think "martyrs" fits somewhat better into the context of his death at the end. Anyways, one of my absolute favorite songs! So much power and feeling, it's just great! |
