First part explains how he sees this girl standing there angry and fighting her tears back. (Maybe because he broke up with her or hurt her feelings) He sees this but his pride is holding him back from giving in and saying sorry or rekindling a relationship He says he trys to live his life with no regrets so every decision he makes he sticks to it.. But he is realizing all his relationships end of leaving in heartbreak or trail of dead .When he does walk away with no remorse nothing .But he is realizing he is starting to be more mature ,probably that young early adult still teen stage ,a player breaking hearts.. This part talks about his fear maybe he is consumed with thoughts that he will be alone if he continues to behave this way and he will end up surrounded with this idea.o The stars make me think of light in darkness so maybe he's saying his pride is making him into a bad person and the people who don't like him talk about how bad of a person he is but he is knows he is hurting the people he cares about so now he has to choose his pride or love. I think this song is about you're crush.That you still have hope and love for the person even though you know it's never going to work so you go through all these emotions because you can't help who you love.. I'm gonna pick up the pieces and build a Lego house.When things go wrong we can knock it down I think here he's talking about how is heart is slowly breaking .While waiting on his dreams he decided to play along with her games even though its his heart he's truly playing with and he doesn't care if being with her breaks his heart. | I always thought the song ment anyone who was dealing with a cheating relationship...the best part of this song she doesn't claim the gender of the cheater/lover so everyone can relate to this song .I think in the beginning she telling us that she just can't grasp that what she already knew what was coming in denial with unfaithful. So after the lover tells her the reality she knows that what they picked isn't going to be love a love like theirs but the lover doesn't care because their afraid of the love. So the lover ends up having to deal with their reality "she"doesnt want the lover to cheat on her so they end up arguing and screaming at each other because they're not suppose to be together but then "she" realizes thats never going to happen so she lies and says nothings wrong and maybe leave him and I think he becomes violent towards her eyes, skin ect ..So the Singer knows all this and all she can do is sit back and wait till the lover realize What the lovers doing (demons) and she'll still help the lover because she's maddly in love with the lover ands been thru the cheating to many times to count but doesnt care and the lover uses sex to ignore all the pain the lover caused.*I guess mine has a more darker meaning * | |
