It is ridiculous that you tried to analise everything, except the most meaningful part. "I want to know my fate if I keep up this way It's hard to want to stay awake When everyone you meet they all seem to be asleep And you wonder if you're missing your dream" In the first stanza he is refering to the fact that if he continues to live the way that he is doing, he won't be happy, there is not much look forward to, there is no point in "[staying] awake" if he continues that miserable live. Then the second stanza is about how everyone he meets has completely diferent priorities and ideas than what his own. Everyone is so lifeless and completely self absorbed and he is not able to comprehend this. And therefore he asks himself what if I am missing the dream, because there is something that he clearly doesn't understand. |
