I wish the Christians would stop bashing the Atheists and vice versa. MUTEMATH wrote their music to be interpreted however the listener wishes it to be perceived. However, to completely dismiss someone else's opinion because it does not agree with yours is incredibly ignorant. I'm a Christian, but I don't think this is about God. I don't like Christian music very much and believe in evolution; does that make me an Atheist? No. So you can't completely disregard someone else's opinion or viewpoint just because it isn't yours. |

I'm a Christian and everything, but MUTEMATH isn't a Christian band. They separated from their old record company because it was marketing them as a Christian band and even said that they weren't. They're Christians themselves, but that doesn't automatically make them a Christian. Why do you think they wrote "Electrify" or "Photograph"? Both clearly are not about God. MUTEMATH's so awesome because they allow people to formulate their own ideas about their songs, religious or not. |

They're not a Christian band, but they write their lyrics in such a way that allows them to be interpreted by anyone. |

Actually, they are not a Christian band. Although each member is Christian, they are not a Christian band. Paul Meany has said this in interviews, and they dropped their original record label because it was marketing them as a Christian band. Why do you think they wrote "Electrify"? They want their music to be open to everyone to listen to, and they feel that being called a Christian band would not allow them to do this. So no, they are not a Christian band. However, they write their lyrics in a way that allows each listener to interpret their songs however they choose. And a "Christian formed band" means that they are Christians in a band, not a Christian band. |

I'm a Christian and everything, but you Christian people that keep telling the people that say it's not about God because they don't have any facts are being hypocritical. I just looked this band up, and Paul Meany even said that they are not a Christian band. They are Christians in a band. That's why they left Warner Bros records and went with Teleprompt; Warner Bros was marketing them as a Christian band, which is what they didn't want. It's cool to interpret it how you like, but for you Christians commenting here, get your facts straight. |
