The lyric as sung is "had a plan and thought they'd win".. First time I heard this song my immediate thought was that it was directed at the former band members who left gnr.. Riad is Slash .. the bedouins are Duff, Matt, maybe Izzy... seems to fit with how Axl seems to think and the hurt he feels.... he is saying he knows they thought he'd come after them to reestablish gnr (on their terms).. but he is crazy and doesn't care so he's gone his own way... now they are nomads...Slash is their leader. |
