I believe this song is written from one man to another man, about his woman. He fears another man is trying to move in on his woman, and he's basically telling him to kick rocks, and that "we belong together, you'll get nowhere near, just leave us alone." Definitely feel this. |

This song is clearly referencing the Arab Spring. "The cycle repeated" - rulers rising to power and falling; "As explosions broke in the sky" - symbolic of the violence that has occurred. "All that I needed was the one thing I couldn't find" - Possibly meaning a loved one lost, or possibly even referring to hope. "And you were there at the turn, waiting to let me know" - Someone was there for that person to tell them it would be okay. "We're building it up to break it back down" - refers to the nature of government. |
