nailed it. I agree with almost everything here. In reference to: "But I still see him dead in the parking lot At the gas station just down the street" I think him is actually referring to a close friend of Jordans that couldn't handle dealing with the day to day struggles of severe depression (or what have you), so he committed suicide at the local gas station one day. That image has been burned into his mind and is just something that the 'sickness' can feed on daily to grow stronger. one of my favorite songs of all-time. I can relate to this like no other song I've ever heard. |
