| There are many spiritual, astrological and astronomical "wheels" in different cultures and religions...but I don't think the "wheel in the sky" in this song is a reference to any specific one of them. The songwriter was likely just going after the poetic imagery of a lone person, caught up in a vast wheel of time/heavens/cosmos. They were trying to express the feeling of having events in your life determined by forces beyond your control. | |
