This can be about any love that won't work. Whether one person is uninterested, or society opposes. It talks about love and feeling like you aren't normal for it. It's that lonely kind of love. Maybe not necessary unrequited, but this can be taken very literally to be a match that everyone frowns upon, or a lot of people frown upon. Of course, I also heard this in the background of the controversial tv love story of Coffee Prince--one man thinks he is falling in love with another and, feels like an alien due to the intense homophobia he will have to get over in his society, and within himself. An alien, literally not like anyone else around you. It's a desolate love in any case. "Is nature denied?" Then again, all societies frown on love in some way, even the ones that they say are correct, don't go being too passionate, and doing what your nature and your lover want. |

I have to agree, especially in light of her queer relationship with Lindsey Lohan. I always felt it was very much about her not connecting with the boys, and .. well, she's just built that way. "It was always me" I actually think this song is REALLY obvious. "I wonder if I'm just built this way, because every man that I know makes me feel that I'm to blame when it's over." |
