I agree with BE POS. "Insufficient facts make up for a frail foundation Breeding the obscene for the opinion customized" ->The media don't always tell the truth, but rather what people want to hear. Or what they want people to hear. "Has it come to this? enjoying things by proxy live through others die just like the rest" ->We don't live our own life. We live through what we see on TV. But we die anyway, withoiut even having lived. "One thought bringing it down" -> You only need to think a little ("one thought") to realize that the media are feeding you nonsense, and "switch it off". This song is urging us to free ourselves from the brainwashing, and think by ourselves. |

I'm pretty sure it's about animals in laboratories : "Disinfected torture chamber A scientific abattoir Their death is the price of your progress" "desinfected torture chamber" and "scientific abattoir" refer to a laboratory, to me. The animals die for human progress. "If these walls could talk They'd scream!" Refers to the suffering that happens in labs. "Archaic rhetoric your weak defense Your victims have no choice No voice" People who support the use of animals in labs always give the same old arguments ("archaic rhetoric weak defense") Animals didn't choose to be there, they cab't talk. can't talk. ("no choice", "no voice") "a plastic bag their burial gown" -> dead animals are disposed of in plastic bags That's my interpretation. Great song. |
