All Time Low – Lullabies Lyrics 14 years ago
This song has always meant so much to me. I almost committed suicide after being bullied, but my sister walked in and saved my life. If anyone is feeling this way, take it from me, it WILL get better. Talk to someone. Talk to anyone. Talk to me, if you want.

Anyway, I translated this song and came up with something somewhat different.

"Alone and far from home we'll find you..." Not literally far away. Alone inside, depressed, not himself, not at home where he should feel loved and happy. They find him dead because all of these emotions were killing him inside, making him take his own life because not living was better than living with the pain.

"Spill the wax over the spaces left in place of angry words." Alex and his brother had tension between each other, but rather than yelling and screaming they just didn't talk. The wax from the burn out candle (his brother & loss of life) represents the results of his loss, including pain and regret about the silence between them

The second verse is pretty obvious. It never felt like Alex would have to wait forever to see his brother again, but now he has to. Alex's brother was with him through his childhood, and he will always be in his memories of the past but nothing else. He never gets to see him after that, so with that memory of someone so close to him, he feels empty. Whatever the tension was between the two was could have ended, but now it can't.

Alex can't forget about his brother and thinks about him until he falls asleep, where he dreams about the happy ending that could have been there. He regrets not being able to apologize to his brother, and now he can only dream about it.

His brother took a lot from many people, including happiness, but he left Alex with sorrow and regret. Because they were in a "fight" he feels he was left with the most pain from losing his brother.
