The song is about him working at Brooklyn Heights Promenade. He was in charge primarily of cleaning the park. Kids in the neighborhood dubbed him The Green Man because: 1. He was huge! (6'8") 2. He loved nature. 3. He kept the park clear of "undesirables" He was a gentle giant, and got along with the kids very well. |

LISTEN TO THE LYRICS!!!!!!! ...1980's suits... They had a relationship in the 80s. So electrocute, Everyone we knew... when even strangers knew our names. He pointed out in an interview what really stuck out to him was that an old couple stopped them and siad they looked so "CUTE" together, hence, Electro-Cute. Ten years later sighed "what a shame" Listen to September Sun. "Ten years amassed" Their relationship lasted ten years (rly???? :O) to make the point again is moot... Trying to reignite the flame is pointless/debatable because she was a cheater. How on you I've wasted my youth... He spent a great deal of his years with Elizabeth. Your cold eyes of Coney Island sand. Hair dyed the blood of a foolish man. She PROBABLY had brown eyes. Her hair was red (Look it up on youtube.) proud to be by your side... no one denied... Refer to earlier. ...I still miss your lips...about as real as your tits... She was fake. Simple as that. |

| The tracks "Kill All The White People" and "We Hate Everyone" were written as a response to the controversy over the bands' alleged racist sentiments that were born after a tour in Europe and due to Peter Steele's previous band Carnivore's explicit lyrics. They feature lyrics mocking the whole issue. | |

| This is primarily about the press assuming he hated blacks because of a lot of his songs. | |

I interpreted this song being about his girlfriend(s) as a lot of them were. But after reading what others have said, I see it a little differently now. I agree that it sounds like when his family made him go to rehab. |

Once and for all, Type O Negative did NOT write this song. It's a cover from Hedwig and the Angry Inch, which happened to be one of Pete Steele's favorite movies. The meaning of this song, however, is about Hedwig getting his sex-change and waking up without a penis or vagina (1 inch mound of flesh) |

Pete's actually said himself in a few interviews after staying clean for x-amount of time, using, staying clean, then back to using, he feels like he's killing himself and that he's dead inside. He also ends up becoming disgusted with himself because he was doing so well. (See: Dead Again) Restless craving: Addiction The summer snow, but it's not cold: Snow is white, as is Cocaine. Once it's tested, thus infected: Once you've had it, you're addicted/infected. I've lost myself again: He thought he had it under control, but really he didn't. "It's a nightmare" is literal. With every breath, I pray for death: The urge won't go away, and he wishes that he could get it over with already. |

There is a multitude of errors in this version of the lyrics. I will list a few and bits of interesting information. Firstly, he sings most of the song in second-person but he is really talking about himself. (So you sit home drinking alone) L'amour (said by locals as La-Morz) was a heavy metal bar that was really big in it's day but sadly closed in 2004. (Type O performed there a few times) You can see with Pete Steele especially with him having a hard Brooklyn accent, normally when you say whore, you pronounce the OR really strong. Hard Brooklynites say Hoo-Wah. Errors: "Red nails and lipstick dressed two sizes too tight." "His tongue down your throat, his hand on your skirt." "Slut, Whore, Cunt!" / "Slut! You fucking whore! You're a cunt!" "You've done it before, time after time, refused to learn your lesson. Gave 'til it hurt, thought it was right... only fools make mistakes twice." "So you sit home, drinking alone. Empty bottle in your hand... don't even try to sort out the lies, it's worse to try to understand." |
