Albert Hammond Jr. – Lisa Lyrics 12 years ago
THANK YOU! I got it: That line you mention I think is: what I thought was sweet, is sorrow now.
Problem with these lyrics are two: 1. There is not one official post about it from AHJ, and it's really hard to get exactly what Albert sings. It's kinda like Julian singing, where sometimes it gets hard to understand by ear.
Now, I wonder, if we put these lyrics together as a prose, whould it be correct gramatically speaking?
"I know I can't be saved by all." wouldn't it be saved at all?
"won't you go and set me down" what's set me down?
"moments thought without red meat" what's that supposed to mean?
I've been asking Albert to publish the official lyrics for two weeks and he doesn't seem to read my twits or he just won't care about it. Maybe because it hurts him what this song means, I don't know, the thing is I don't get any response from him.

Apocalyptica – Repressed Lyrics 14 years ago
I find it more like a military-government thing. Since Max is there, he has this custome to sing song about that.
So, in a way it is a conversation between Matt and Max; imagine Matt is a young adult recruit and Max is the President. So, Max promised him many things for him to fight, actually promised him to be with him in war while fighing, but eventually Matt finds out he's out there alone.
So, imagine those soldiers that are left behind, who hoped to be rescued by their government who always say they will be with their soldiers all the time.
It's like a hypocritical message by the President who says will lead his soldiers to victory, also the message that tells they are worth for nothing else, but to fight.
You need directions and protection. People need their soldiers and me (President).
About: tell me the truth is a little confusing, but it can be the soldiers asking for the truth.
The fists can be their guns, which the Army taught them to use. So, they protected him but also helped him come through their misery.
In the end, these soldiers can become the worst enemy you can ever have. So never understimate them. You prepared them, you trained them, you sent them to fight, you left them there rotting, don't get scared when they come back for answers.

Sepultura – Ratamahatta (feat. David Silveria & Carlinhos Brown) Lyrics 14 years ago
I love this song and the meaning is posted at the beginning, it is about the life i the favelas. There is no question about it.

Now, what I wanted to know is if anybody has any idea of how he does say Rattamahatta when in the chorus.
Since, it's pretty simple to just put rattamahatta and end of the song. But he actually says it many times in a different pattern after Rattamahatta. So, anybody knows?
