The band's first release was in Japan, so I think they probably spent a lot of time there early on in their career.
It's probably about the fact they have to travel round everywhere now and want to just go back to Tokyo sometimes to get away from it all. I could be wrong but I get the feeling it's not addressing a girl when he says 'If you love me let me go', I think it could be talking to a label or manager or something. I think the first verse would make more sense then too, 'We're self imploding under the weight of your advice', because they're being made to tour the world and play gig after gig after gig. |

I think the Nihilism they are talking about is Moral Nihilism. They are saying that there is no wrong or right here, there is no guilt or love ('feel nothing') so just go for it. |
