Luther Vandross – Dance With My Father Lyrics 12 years ago
This is such an evocative song. Does anybody else wish they could step back into their childhood and just have one happy day there? Every parent should dance with their child......it brings back such happy memories and at the same time reminds us of how precious life is and how we should appreciate our loved ones while we have them. I love my Dad!

Eric Clapton – Running On Faith Lyrics 13 years ago
I agree with all of the comments above. It seems to me to be such a heartfelt song about a man in love, who feels that everything will be right in his world if the girl he loves would just realise how perfect things would be if they were together. (maybe it was inspired by his love for Pattie Boyd, but inability to do anything about it) I love the bit where he sings: 'Lately I've been talking in my sleep, can't imagine what I have to say...' it shows the depth of emptiness he feels. Ah just a great song.

The Jimi Hendrix Experience – Angel Lyrics 13 years ago
My Dad used to sweep me up in his arms and sing this to me when I was a little girl. It is the first sing I ever really remember. I used to think that I was his angel and one day he would have to set me free.....
That's why I love songs, they can mean so many different things to different people!

Chris De Burgh – In a Country Churchyard (Let Your Love Shine On) Lyrics 13 years ago
This is my first ever comment, and I don't quite know why, but I feel a little ashamed about it being about a Chris de Burgh song. Perhaps it's cos I live with a music facist..... Anyway, I do love this song, and I have loved it ever since being a little girl. Here is my interpretation. I think it is about his parents. The church lies in ruins, so the wedding at the outset must have been a long long time ago. He goes to visit the grave, "the last remaining headstone" (singular) and this makes me think it is both of his parents, buried together in the church yard where they had their wedding day. I feel like it is a lesson in how two people can be young, get married, spend the rest of their lives together and make it "til death do us part". It's a beautiful song.
