@[EnigmaticSevens:1365] Nailed it! This is what I gather from the lyrics as well. It's a truly transcendental love song. Two lovers returning to nature - souls set free, becoming eternal. |

The "Hanson are laughing at you" bit was toward a specific user who said she asked the group about it and they laughed! Calm down, ladies. |

Um yeah? Why waste time dwelling on the rumor mill? You get more out of music if you look at things subjectively. They're laughing for a reason. :) |

| The Pretty Reckless – Light Me Up Lyrics

'White' is definitely a coke reference.
"Light me up when I'm down" is pretty straight forward. 'Lit up' = high on coke. It makes her feel better.
This tune is all about her love for partying and be unwilling to change at this moment in time. She's basically saying, "Yeah, I party. I'm gonna change eventually, but right now I couldn't care less. So don't hassle me about it."

Some of you are overthinking it and that's why Hanson are laughing at you. What happened to Johnny isn't important. The song captures the feeling of anger (and even a little hint of madness - listen to the bridge) that hits you when people keep things from you. They don't think you can handle the truth, but you wish they would just tell the truth because it can't be any worse than all the possibilities you imagine in your mind. |
