To me it's about the way we reconstruct the places we've been and re-experience them in the process of remembering them. And when those memories are lost to age or disease, the places and people in them evaporate, they no longer exist. "It's not a house anymore", its original meaning is corrupted or lost. And it's especially painful when it's a person who's lost. The closing line is beautiful, is there anyone who really wants to see time keep moving, to lose the moment and only have the memory? |
