That's really interesting, I never thought of it that way!

Lady GaGa – Dance in the Dark Lyrics 14 years ago
It's find your Kubrick, not find your Cupid. It's a reference to Stanley Kubrick.
I believe this song is about the twisted lie of a life that many celebrities live. Particularly female celebrities. It's about a girl getting caught in her image, thinking that's she's not good enough for anyone, even her boyfriend.
In the beginning when she talks about poison, and says 'inject me', I think that that means she is willing to do anything, absolutely anything, to make herself more like the images she sees in other stars. Even poison herself. 'Silicon' is perhaps talking about the surgery you can get?
Marilyn, Judy, Diana, and Sylvia are all starlets who died tragically. The girl in the song asks them 'tell em' how you feel' because she's not brave enough to tell how that feels to the general public herself. What Gaga is trying to say is that this is a never-ending, somewhat brutal cycle of people that have talent being rejected and never let to prove themselves, and then them constantly attempting to make themselves better and destroying their natural talent and themselves in the process.

Evanescence – My Immortal Lyrics 14 years ago
I believe this song is about a girl who is unable to let go of someone close to her she's lost, I believe a boyfriend.
Here is my analysis of it.

"I'm so tired of being here
Suppressed by all my childish fears
But if you have to leave
I wish that you would just leave
'Cause your presence still lingers here
and it won't leave me alone."

She wants to be able to let this person go. She's tormented by thoughts of them 24/7, and she knows she's being childish be holding onto their memory this long, but she feels she needs to have them with her until the memories leave by themselves.

"These wounds won't seem to heal
This pain is just too real
There's just too much that time cannot erase."

She and this person were very close, and losing them was like losing a part of her. Time can't erase the wounds of her loss, and she doesn't know it but she's opening the wounds by holding on to this person.
Chorus
"When you'd cry I'd wipe away all your tears
When you'd scream I'd fight away all your fears
But you still have....all of me."

She knows that their relationship had been a bad idea from the beginning, and she'd had to protect him from his fears, and she never got anything back, but she unwittingly gave all of herself to him. And now that he's gone, she can't live knowing that he's not here.

"You used to captivate me
By your resoning light
Now I'm bound by the life you left behind."

She loved him very much, and cared deeply about him. Then, he left her, and she became nothing. She never realized how much she needed him until the day he left, and she can't stop wanting him back, her mind is slowly slipping into insanity.

"Your face, it haunts
My once pleasant dreams
Your voice, it's chased away
All the sanity in me."

Like I said before, his memory is slowly driving her insane. Images of him haunt her, and she hears his voice in her mind. She can't help needing him, but she desperately is trying to hang on to what she has left of her sanity.

Repeat of verse two and chorus.

"I've tried so hard to tell myself that you're gone
But you're still with me
I've been alone all along."

She is beginning to realize that he never cared about her, and she tries to tell herself that he's not worth her tears, but she can't stop believing that he was innocent. She was too in love to see his flaws, and that is what is leading to her downfall.

Repeat Chorus

There you go.

The Pussycat Dolls – I Hate This Part Lyrics 14 years ago
Am I the only one who thinks this song is about the band breaking up?
Like they knew that this was going to happen, and now that it's happening, they're saying their final words to each other through this song. I think they knew that they weren't going to last long, and now they just have to leave each other, and stop dwelling in the past and trying to get back together.
I know it's probably about a guy, but this is my interpretation.

Also, she hates the part where they have to finally leave, because she just has to release everything right then and there.

I totally agree!
Even though it was written for Transformers, I think it's secretly aimed at the Farros.

Avril Lavigne – Not Enough Lyrics 14 years ago
Am I the only one who thinks this song is about Deryck Whibley?
What she's saying is that their relationship was crumbling, they were unable to please each other in whatever they did, and she thinks it's better for both of them if they give it up.
It's 'I wish it was' not 'I wish you worse', by the way.
