I've showed this song to numerous friends, and they all took it as a dark and stalker-ish (or obsessive when they read the lyrics.) When I listen to it though, I feel like it's about a guy who is in love with a girl, and he'll do anything for her. But she, most likely to his knowledge too, takes full advantage of his kindness and love, without repaying him with the love he deserves. If she loves him, -I'll be your king. But she doesn't, or doesn't respect him enough, -I'll be your pawn. And when she's left him, he won't let it go. He'll continue to watch over her because he'll always love her. |
