| Yes very interesting. I suppose Jus is into J.R.R as well as H.P Lovecraft. He must at least like the Lord of the Rings. While in the process or thinking of writing the song, he must've got some inspiration from "The Hobbit". People like "Bilbo Baggins" go on an adventure, there's a dragon, long wooden pipes, wizards, this is where Jus must have taken the whole "Electric Wizard" song from. Every time I find something fucking absolutely awesome about Jus, my respect for him just gets bigger and bigger. | |

I love this song, like I do with all Electric Wizard songs. But basically, this is an obvious song about "Mark of the Devil" and witch hunting in general. The lyrics; "Torture, my pleasure, true servant of the dark True servant of the dark" show that the people who condemned and tortured the so called "Witches" were the real servants of the dark (Satan). I like this lyric passage the most in the song because it's very true, the people who think are servants of the Devil are the real evil ones for killing the them, the innocent women. |

I reckon Returntrip68 has it right. Because there are actually more lyrics after these original ones, he says. "Lord forgive me, for I have sinned. But I'll never sin again. No, no, no I'll never sin again" So on and so forth. This supports the Cannibal Ferox influence because it is most obviously from the perspective of Mike, him saying "I'll never sin again." To get rid of the pain that he has endured, because in the movie, Mike tortures one of the tribe members in a village. And after that, he and the others get captured and are tortured. |
