I think the song is about a girl explaining to a guy, that he needs to change his ways. I think that it's either: The guy and girl aren't seeing each other, and they'd like to, but the guy has many girls that he dates or see's, and the girl is explaining to him that she's OK with that, but then she's not the girl for him. Or, the couple are in a relationship, and the guy is cheating. The girl is either aware of it, or knew he cheated on others in the past. So in the song, she's saying to him that if cheats on her, he'll be on a road to nowhere with their relationship. Personally I relate it to myself a bit differently than I think intended:) I have many GF's, but no real serious relationships. I can't even remember many of their names. So the song speaks to me in a similar theme above, except I take the "If you are so frequently in Love" line to mean, that if I continue to have meaningless sex with short term GF's I'll remain single until I grow up, and focus on a real relationship. The longest road to nowhere, would be remaining to be single - by continuing to have short term relationships. |
