| The song was written in 2003, 6 years before RATM's reunion. When RATM released their self-titled album (probably their most popular work) ZDLR was 22 years old and he was still in his 20s when releasing their last real album (The Battle of Los Angeles), so I don't think it's a direct swing. Additionally, this contemporary "music" Wilson describes as engineered - I don't think you could say that about RATM. | |
