Kate Voegele – Inside Out Lyrics 14 years ago
Might I also add that this person she is pining for, is someone that she never wanted to or expect to fall for. She seems to have had her guard blown away by this person.

Lady GaGa – Scheiße Lyrics 14 years ago
The first verse in this song seems like she is catering to what a man wants but that is in fact the whole problem she has with society.
She wants to be with someone and sexually (or otherwise) give into them and not have it mean she is weak and conforming to a feminism that doesn't work for everyone.

She says "shit, be mine" because she wants to own it and put her own image of a strong woman onto society's crappy, restrictive version.

There's my two cents.

Lady GaGa – Judas Lyrics 14 years ago
`Why can't people understand metaphors? `

Ugh, thank you for saying this!! It seems especially true when it comes to Lady Gaga and other artists that actually have substance in their lyrics which are so grotesquely overlooked and everything becomes this I DONT CARE WHAT IT MEANS DANCE DANCE DANCE shit that is destroying the art of music. Grr.

Lady GaGa – Americano Lyrics 14 years ago
So, in a sense, it means to her: acceptance of all types of people, lifestyles and love.
I <3 this song.

It does remind me of Madonna's objectification of Black people and culture as it kinda comes off as this commodification of minority culture but the broader message is what is important and it's clear she does not mean for it to sound the way it may.

Lady GaGa – Monster Lyrics 14 years ago
lol you're just saying that because of the brain part. but no um, interesting take. I am not gonna try and discredit you and I'm sure Gaga would like that interpretation, actually!
I agree with the reply below so it could be about that but the general meaning that comes across is desiring someone who may not be wise to associate with, someone who is going to use you but you are addicted to this `monster.`

Selena Gomez & The Scene – Who Says Lyrics 14 years ago
It's a somewhat cliched message that is rarely gone about the right way and made truly believable but Selena is truly a thoughtful and gracious person who truly believes this of people. This song actually makes me feel better about myself which is amazing and usually I don't "buy in" to pretty people telling me that I too am beautiful but this lacks the cliche in that you feel she is referring to more than outward beauty which is obviously not as important but also that it's okay to know you have something attractive about you as well no matter who you are.
