When I first heard this song I gave it no chance, now I listen to it every time I burn. Excellent song...both Cudi and Mike flow in this song so nice, by far one of the best Cudi songs ever made. |

Some of these lyrics are wrong, but I don't feel like correcting them. Excellent song, excellent burn music, true vibes... |

| Kid Cudi – Don't Play This Song (feat. Mary J. Blige) Lyrics

This is Cudi's deepest song, in my opinion. One of his many deep lines include - "Reckless so young and my-my mom's calling Think I should hit decline I'm numb-faced while I'm thinking about suicide"
Imagine being in his position; rags to riches at such a young age, fucked up on drugs...declining his mother's phone call while he contemplates taking his own life. To be hoenst, I don't think you could write this kind of deep shit unless you've experienced it... |

I first started smoking when I heard this song and the rest of this CD. I think me smoking and listening to this song both on the first time was a fucking knockout. Instant classic. |

This song to me represents a relationship that has/is ending despite feeling so strongly for one another. "Your weight will never be too much for me, your ideas have always been been your own, this moment keeps moving...we were never meant to hold on". The moment is always moving, even know sometimes the worst feelings seemingly won't leave you, while he acknowledges, "we were never meant to hold on". This is a deep song man... |
