This song is obviously about young careless lovemaking. "Those three words, are said too much, they're not enough" Those three words are obviously "I love you". "Forget what we're told" (this alludes to living "safe"- staying out of trouble like your parents told you to) before we get too old ("to old to enjoy sex"). "Show me your garden that's bursting into life" (This pretty much means take your clothes off I think and or show me all about you). Lying with you and forgetting the world means to make love. |

| You're right and I think the song is more graphic than you think. The bittersweet is an analogy of the mix of pain and pleasure from sex when losing your virginity. Strawberry wine can be a metaphor for blood also as wine is a metaphor for blood in many instances. | |
