I agree with the romantic aspect that skyturnstofire was talking about, but I can also see how its about a girl that has denied reality, because she did not like it, and she has created her own. "She puts her hands against The life she had Living with ignorance" Which proves she has created a new reality. But you can not live within reality, when you have created your own. It simply doesn't work that way. It could be other people trying to stop you, like the narrator of the song, or it could be the sea, the breeze, or the sun (which could be metaphors for something else), either way what is real will fight against what is fake. "But say goodbye to you and me... die, die, die, die, die, die, die, etc..." In literal terms, this could mean that reality is planning to get rid of whats not real, which could end in her death. But this could mean that when you create a new reality, you deny people, including people that you love. Thus, creating a lonely situation, which could be compared to death. or that her new reality is about to die, because there can't be two realities. |
