Lupe has some of the sickest lyrics.
I feel like this song is pretty clear. Its the whole hollywood-all-that-glitters-may-not-be-gold. He just wants to live and enjoy life but there is too much outside pressure. People care more about someones career and the money than their well being. Its a hard life to get out of so until he gets "there" he doesnt want to change as a person.
And I think "there" is fame and being "number one". Everyones pushing him until he gets "there". |

Dumbfounded this has no comments. This is hands down my favorite ratatat song by far. It kind of has this lullaby feel to it that I find soothing and comforting. And the bridge at the end.. uhhhmazing |
