Imo, this song is sung from the girl's point of view. "One more kiss could be the best thing And one more lie could be the worst And all these thoughts are never resting And you're not something I deserve" - She still wants to be with him, and she doesn't want to lie to him anymore, but she's torn between telling him or not. She knows she doesn't deserve him. "In my head there's only you now This world falls on me In this world there's real and make-believe This seems real to me" - Whatever she does, she can't get him out of her head. But everything seems to be against her, and even though, she knows she loves him. "You love me, but you don't know who I am - She knows he loves her, but he doesn't know everything about her I'm torn between this life I lead and where I stand - This life I lead being, high school and where I stand being her job as a stripper [or something] You love me, but you don't know who I am So let me go Just let me go" - Basically, she knows she doesn't deserve him, and even though she wants to be with him, he must let her go, because she thinks that if she knew about her secret, he wouldn't love her anymore. Firstly, I think he says: "Please say", not resay. Secondly, in my opinion, this song is about an actual relationship and she broke up with him, but he wants her back, because he never stopped loving him. Probably, he is "the sky" and she's "the moon" and he asks if "this what it's like ?" meaning, is this the way it feels when you have a broken heart ? |
